Under what classification would I be able to get a car through a safety inspection for road use in the province of BC, Canada if the car has a full roll cage and doors that do not open? Access to the car is through the windows or the roof. This car is a substantially modified 1930's Ford with a metal body built to old time racer rules. The body can be removed for the inspection and even replaced with another if required. Some prior suggestions have been to try as a dune buggy, modified or homebuilt. The reason the doors do not open is there is side impact structure blocking the doorway. If required other modifications can be made to the car to achieve the goal. The answer I seek should include reference to appropriate government documents such as inspection classifications. |
