I can tell you how many accounting degrees were awarded in US schools
(Associates degrees, Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral) in each year
from 1996-2004.

More recent data for the 2005-2006 school year are not yet available.  

Would the data on degrees awarded meet your needs?

To clarify, i need to find out how many USA citizens have/are enrolled
to study accounting each year between the years of 1996 to 2007. 
These numbers SHOULD not take into account the intake of international
students have enrolled into accounting courses.

This question is quite different to the previous question around
degrees awarded so please answer seperately.

Please let me know if you need further clarification.
