I am looking for musical transcription for the Morphine song "Gone For
Good", which is the last track on the album "Yes". The song is played
with an acoustic guitar and consists of a few slowly picked chords. I
am having a lot of trouble figuring this out on my own.

Any of the following results would be great (in order of "greatness"):
-Guitar Tablature
-Musical Transcription on Staff
-Chord Book for purchase (don't think this exists...)

If a researcher were unable to find an answer but was able to create
an original transcription (shouldn't be too hard for someone musical)
that would be wonderful as well (and tipped appropriately).

Well, I just loved this song. I have the album, but hadn't paid
attention to it (the song) until now; it's simply beautiful.

I couldn't find a transcription on the Internet or for sale, so I
wrote the chords myself. The song is extremely simple - it just uses
the chords C, F and G, although they are never strummed; rather, they
are played using arpeggios.

It would take a lot of time to provide a complete tablature, as the
order of the notes in the arpeggios change all the time throughout the
song. I will provide the chords to the song and then a small "sample"
tablature of the arpeggios in the first part of the song.

C G C G
I'm never going back never going back to you
C G C G
I'm never going to see you again
C G
I'm never going to dig out your picture
C G [C G] x 2
I'm never going to look you up someday
F G
   Life is very short
C F
   You don't love me anymore
C G C G
So I'm never going to see you again
C G
I'm never going to write you a letter
C G [C G] x 2
Never going to call you on the phone
C G
I'm never going to drive by your house
C G [C G] x 2
I'm never going to catch you coming outside
F G
Never going to walk up your walk
   And ring your bell
And feel you fall into my arms
C G
I'm never going to see you (x2)
C G F
I'm never going to see you again
G C
   You're gone for good

The arpeggio in the in the introduction is played like this:

e -3-------3------------3----------------------------------------
B -----1-----1-------------3-------------------------------------
G ---0---0-----0---0------------0--------------------------------
D ---------------3-----------------0-----------------------------
A -3----------------------------------2--3-----------------------
E ---------------------------------------------------------------

During most of the times the chords C and G are played, the notes in
the tablature above are used, although their order and timing might

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you find anything unclear.

Best wishes,
