What are the name of the artwork (and artists) used as props in Thomas Crown's house in the 1999 movie, Thomas Crown Affair. As many as possible, but the most important are the one above his bed and the ones along the stairs. I do not need to know the ones in the museum. |

Hello moviefan, I did not see the movie but I've located who contributed the artistic talent on the project. First I checked http://www.imdb.com and searched on "full cast and credits." http://us.imdb.com/Credits?0155267 I arrowed down to set decoration and found that Leslie E. Rollins was set decorater on this film. Next I entered "Thomas Crown Affair+Leslie Rollins+art" on Google and located this article about Troubetzkoy Painting. http://www.troubetzkoypaintings.com/filma.html Troubetzkoy Gallery: http://www.troubetzkoypaintings.com Hope this helps, V |

Hi moviefan, I just received a note back from Troubetzkoy Paintings, so I thought I'd post what we do have on your question even though it's expired. ------------- Thank you for your interest in Troubetzkoy Paintings. Unfortunately we do not have the information you requested regarding our paintings that were used in the Thomas Crown Affair. Sorry we could not be of more help. Sincerely, Christopher Moore --------------- Several of the GA researchers collaborated on this for you. Webadept had this film on DVD and isolated the artwork in question and posted it in the researcher's forum; {shakes head} I still can't believe he did that. From the photos, angy-ga was able to find the painting hanging over the bed; it's Sir Edward Burne-Jones' "The Mirror of Venus" from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, Portugal which you can view here... http://www.artmagick.com/paintings/painting1876.aspx Sorry we couldn't be of more help but it's certainly not for lack of trying. We hope to come through for you next time. Cheers, V |
