I have had a great difficulty trying to figure out what is happened or
wrong with me. For over 1 and a half years I have been changing,
mentally and phycially. Up until now I feel I am starting to very
slowly come back to being my self. I have been to dozens of doctors
and specialists about this. I all started when I noticed my face was
changing. I saw my eyes had dark bags under them, my facial
muscles/nerves (im not sure which) were uneven, and I couldn't get any
good sleep for months. Now, after all the doctors I have seen, the
last being a neurologist, came to the conclusion of me being over
stressed. It was hard for me to believe because of all the other
symptoms I have including: low body temperatue, slow bowel movements,
and facial puffiness. If there is anyone out there that has these or
similar symptoms, please relpy to this with your input. Thanks

Dear Rocko,

I am no physician and in any case I hope that you're aware that Google
Answers is not an alternative into seeing one. However, all of your
symptoms sound like the result of hypothyroidism (see:

Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothyroidism

Endocrinweb - http://www.endocrineweb.com/hypo1.html ).

This could be checked in a simple blood test (naturally the thyroid
hormones are the ones to be checked) and handled pretty simply (if
that is the only problem with your thyroid) with synthetic hormone. If
the results of the test are positive (or perhaps even to get that
test) you should see an endocrinologist.

Is that sufficient as an answer?

As I have mentioned in the thread below, I have already taken a blood
test to check for hypothyroidism, supposedly i am normal but everyday
I look at the signs of it:
-thinning eyebrows
-constipation
-low body temperature
-hair loss
-memory loss
-decreased sex drive
-depression
-muscle cramps

I really dont know what to do from here but Im thinking about seeing a
endocrinologist to make sure. thanks

Yes, Rocko, those idiots do tend to tell you that you are suffering from 'stress'.

Medics are not very bright.

In your case I reckon that you are female, and don't much like your environment.

Thank you both for your input but to answer your questions- 1: i am a male and 2:
I have already taken a basic blood test to look for a thyroid problem
(which came to .90). On top of that, I have researched hypothyroidism
for weeks and thought that was the most obvious but according to docs,
its not. im sure theres someone that has the exact same condition out
there

Conduct test for microalbuminuria(Presence of albumin in small
quantities in the urine). This test shows whether your kidney is
functioning normally.

Have they considered you may have Lyme Disease? If you live in the
Northeast, or have been camping in areas where you may have been
exposed to deer ticks (in the past few years), this could be a
possibility. Ive heard it can take along time for symptoms to become
severe, and symptoms can come and go. Some symtoms are Bells palsy
(loss of muscle tome in the face) fatigue joint pain, depression.,
tingling in hands/feet. If you think its a possibility, try a family
doc or an immunologist. Here is a website with more info as well as
CDC suggested tests:
