Question ID: 8017
I am looking to identify a specific song from "Vanilla Sky" (2001,
with Tom Cruise) played just for a few seconds fairly at the end of
the movie where Tom is in an elevator together with some guy.

In in the corresponding message board people suggested the song
"Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating Through Space...." by
Spiritualized. However, this is NOT the one I am looking for. I can
remember to have heard this song back in 1984!

If somebody has a list of all songs with time/scene in the movie,
title and artist as well as the year of first publication that would
be great.

Greetings from Google!

You asked for name of the song that played for just a few seconds
while Tom Cruise was going up the elevator with the tech support guy.
I just went back and rewatched the scene, and did a search online
also. The song, as vladimir-ga suspected, is indeed "Doot Doot" by
Fleur. You can verify this by going to the following address for a
Real Audio sample of that song. Notice the "It's over now..." lyrics.

ArtistDirect's Fleur Page: the song in question is the first RealAudio
link. You may also purchase their album here.

There is some more information on Fleur's "Doot Doot" album on the
following site:
http://archive.awrc.com/f/doot_doot.html

Search Strategy:

    "vanilla sky" elevator music
    "doot doot" fleur

I hope this answers your question! As always, I would be more than
happy to help you if you need any further clarifications.

Best Regards,
blader-ga

Just a typo: those should all read "freur", not "fleur." Sorry!
