I am posting this question just to Pay Sublimel-ga for his help on
another question. I just started using this service and I closed the
question before doing whatever I needed to do to pay you. I thought
it had fixed the problem, but then they came back. However, I needed
to do what you recommended on all 3 of my home computers and found
tons of adware.

kimiekimbow...

Thank you for acknowledging my assistance to you on this
previous question:
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=339640

I will here reproduce the suggestion I gave you at that time:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This question, in conjunction with your other one, suggests
that you have one or more versions of adware or BHO (Browser
Helper Object) which was installed without your knowledge.

Please download, install and run the Bazooka Adware and
Spyware Scanner from the author's page here:
http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/index.html

The program will identify 490+ malicious programs, as
listed on the Bazooka encyclopedia page:
http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/library/index.phtml?source=bassindex

Having identified the problems, Bazooka provides links
to online pages which detail removal procedures.

kimiekimbow...

Thanks for the 5 stars and the tip.

Personally, I would recommend using every program you can
find to keep your computer safe. All of the following are
free to download and use, and I use them all:

ActiveXcavate
AdAware
Bazooka Spyware Scanner
BHODemon
CWShredder
Spybot Search & Destroy
Spyware Blaster
WinPatrol

They're all easy to find on Google. Some perform the
same checks as others, but they overlap in a useful
way. Some have nicer interfaces, others are more
user-friendly.

Try them all, and uninstall the ones you find you
don't use much, or which don't produce results that
are unique from the others.

Best regards...
