...buying high-quality, low-price whey protein is much easier.

Having recently learned about the value of supplementing whey with
casein, I now will begin to regularly purchase casein powder.

So here's what I want. Find an online retailer that sells a casein
powder supplement....

1) Not supplemented with vitamins and minerals
2) No soy
3) Priced near $8/lb or less (optional)
4) Powder

FWIW, I really like the "100% Whey" brand powder supplement. If you
can it's "casein powder" twin, I'd be quite please.

Thank you.

Protein Factory sells pure, unflavored calcium caseinate (casein
powder) for $5.99/pound.

The neat thing about Protein Factory is that they do custom protein
blends, so if you want to add a flavor and/or any one of several
artificial sweeteners, you can do so at minimal or no cost.

I should also add that the sources for Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey
product listed in your linked post charge way too much.

Next time you buy ON 100% Whey, check out http://www.1fast400.com/ .
He sells the 10-pound bag for $46.99 and the 5-pound tub for $25.00.
donphiltrodt-ga rated this answer:2 out of 5 stars and gave an additional tip of: $10.00
Q: How can a 2-star-rated question get a $10 tip?

A: The tip and the rating express two different things.

1) I greatly appreciate the extra tip (pun intended) you offered about
saving money on protein. Very thoughtful and helpful. Thanks very
much.

2) The answer you provided falls under the category of "The Absolute
Bare Minimum" or "No More Than What He Asked For". Contrast the
answer you provided with the answer provided by the researcher for my
previous protein question. Without a doubt, you followed all the
rules and successfully answered the question I asked.

Why did I only award 2 stars even though you successfully answered the
question? I'm grading on a curve, comparing your bare-minimum answer
to the quality I normally receive.

Thank you.
