Hi, We are moving to France and I hope to work. In order for me to
work in my chosen field I need to speak almost fluent french.
I read somewhere (and I can't remember where) that there was a Danish
Monastery that will take you in for a one week retreat and you will
come out speaking fluently, it does not matter what level of speaking
of the french language you have.
I went to Google search but came up empty handed.
You've help me in the past and I'm hoping you can now.
Regards
Brenda Earley

Brenda,

I have found information on a French language retreat in a monastery.
However, it is not Danish. It is located in the south of France. Both
one-week and two-week "language holidays" are available. It sounds
wonderful: gourmet food, outdoor activities in a scenic area, and
immersion in the French language.

If info about this would be a satisfactory answer to your question,
please let me know. Other than the fact that it is not in Denmark,
this sounds like just the sort of thing you mention.

Hi,it does sound wonderful. I'm not sure if that is the place or not.
If you could pass along the info., I will contact them and see what
the scoop is.

Thank you for your help.

I have gathered some information for you about the French language
immersion holiday in a monastery, as mentioned above.

"CREA-LANGUES

In 'le Monastère de Ségriès', a former monastery, impressively
situated among forests and lavender fields, courses are being given
from April 5th till April 10th and from June till September. Total
immersion in the language, as from one week, with a choice for
afternoon activities or extra lessons, or business French. In the
weekends 'plus-modules' (Provence on foot, Provence on bike, canyoning
and festival d´Avignon). One week courses are not possible in July and
August. Accommodation intern in a hospitable atmosphere and an
excellent Provençale kitchen. The average age is over 30. Many travel
together from Brussels."
