I am a U.S. Citizen and my fiance is a Hungarian/EU citizen but we
currently live in Hungary. He got a job in England and we've decided
to move there together. I would like to start looking for a job in
England ASAP but i know i need a work permit. we are also planning to
get married soon but we've run into some complicated questions such
as: 1-what country do we need to get married in (UK or HU?)? 2-if our
marriage would eventually lead to me having the same work benefits as
an EU citizen? 3-what forms we need and how much time this would all
take?

I could answer (1) and (2), but for three - this would depend on
clerks, who sometimes work fast, sometimes not. Would you like an
answer for the first two?

well, i guess the forms aren't so important. i mean, i could find out
what forms i needed if i had the right direction to start this whole
process. if you could give me info on the first two which are the most
important i would be most thankful.

Is this question still active?

While comment by geof-ga has some general merit (see disclaimers)
the sites suggested there look rather useless.

It really is not important where you get married, as long as
you know about formalities as apostille etc.

Provided you are expecting as much work as went into this one:

do you still want some research help on this?

I think you might be better off addressing your rather complicated
question to some specialists in UK immigration, employment and
residency. Have a look at the websites in this list -
