Take it to another store and see if they can remove it. If you bought it at a store that you also have locally then give them a call. |

Take it to the police department and tell them what you told us. I'm sure they will have some helpful advice for you. tutuzdad-ga |

tutuzdad-ga, Yes it very well could be that. But this situation does happen from time to time when people purchase items from stores. It might seem a bit elaborate I mean bought it out of town and didn't notice the tag. But it is a possability. And if 020552 does have a recipt the store may be more than willing to take the tag off. |

First, I'd call the store, tell them what happened. If you paid with a credit card/cheque, they'll also have your details. Here what's their solution: they might have a branch in your state/city, which could remove the tag (they might even apologise and send you something as compensation!); they might contact another store - close to you - and ask them to do it. I also agree with the advice of going to the police, with the receipt, of course! |

Most of these tags use some magnet to keep the lock in place. Hold it close to a strong magnet and the clip should open. |
