I?d like detailed information the this company http://www.wes-state.com/become_a_credit_consultant.html If possible to investigate the background of a business or the owners. I?d like information from someone NOT affiliated with the above companies and comments from anyone that may have had dealings with this company. I?d like to get details on any Complaints and or lawsuits If possible a detail of the number of complains and the topic of the complaint and if any resolve was found. Information on the actual profitability of venture with this company and the estimated 1st years potential earning. How long has the above company been in existence? Does the company belong to the Better Business Bureau?? Basically I?m trying to find out if this is a viable venture or just another SCAM. Thank you in advance |

I searched the BBB database for the company and came up with this page: http://www.thebbb.org/commonreport.html?bid=50002761 It started in 1972 and was incorporated in January 1986. It's president is Mr. George Ropchan. It is NOT a member of the BBB. You can contact them at 541-485-4741. They do look like a legit business, but BBB says to beware of these work-at-home schemes. I checked another web site and it says the start-up fee is $200. -Chris |

Here are my comments on home-based businesses in general, from another inquiry about the same kind of thing: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=461991 With any such offer, 95% of the above details usually apply. The offer sounds apealing, but if you keep looking at similar things you will quickly notice some common and unsettling characteristics. |

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=518739 This link may also be of interest. Would you go to such a site to apply for a credit card if your credit was good? |

I looked briefly at this one, and I should add one more thing. This offer is more openly listed as a "dealer" program than a "job," in which case you should ask yourself why you should pay them any money at all. In some cases people end up paying hundreds of dollars for generic information you could find for free on the internet, and the only relationship they have to the payee is having paid them money and also gotten some service of minimal value. |

Too many exclamation points, I second that. Only sleeseballs use that many exclamation points on their site, thus I have to beleive that its a scam. |
