I have a product and service that will greatly benefit large chicken ranchers.  

In order to market it successfully I need a list of the 10 largest
chicken ranches in the United States.

The results can be from data can be up to 2 years old.  

The criteria for "largest" should (I think) be based on the total
sales volume of chickens in a given year.

The list should include...
- Name
- Sales volume
- Address
- Phone Number

Please do not include any results outside of the US.

Hi Bobbie7,

I have already contacted the big 5 chicken conglomerates and I have
not been able to break through the gate-keepers (phone answerers). 
That's why I wanted the actual physical locations (chicken ranches) so
I can call them directly and tell them about my product and process. 
I believe they will be more receptive to what I have to offer since
they are there in the trenches so to speak.

I hope that does not pose too big a problem.

the nation's largest poultry companies there are:

23,000 contract poultry farms in the United States with a total of
71,000 broiler growout houses

Tyson Foods ranks number 1 with 5,852 contract farms and 18,901 houses
in broiler production.

Gold Kist is in second place contracting with 2,600 farms using 6,300
broiler houses.
Sanderson Farms is third with only 495 contract farms and 2,075 broiler houses.

Bobbie7 has given you a very good listing and ranking of companies,
along with some contact information at actual "complexes" for Tyson
Foods -- presumably, many of these are actual chicken farms.

Another source of information, though, are environmental records.  In
the past few years, federal and state environmental agencies have
begun to take seriously the problems of pollution from CAFOs --
concentrated animal feed operations.  As a result, many such
facilities have now been permitted, and the permit records are
publicly available.

I checked the national permit files for poultry farms, and pulled up
information on well over 1,000 farms across the country.  Typical
information for these permitted poultry farms looks like this (and

contact person may be the guy in charge, but can also be the
environmental person, at farms large enough to have someone dedicated
to this responsibility).

I can provide the list of 1,000+ farms as an answer to your question,
if you think that would suit your needs.  The file is available as a
spreadsheet.

Unfortunately, there is no simple way I know of to sort the list by
the size of the farm.  However, this is a pretty comprehensive list of
the substantial chicken farming operations throughout the country.
