For the first time I've clicked on the "view all questions" link in the GA home page. I get the first 25 questions out of a total of 2268 questions. As an avid film buff, I enjoy browsing the "name of that film I saw when I was younger...." type question and it is invariably Pink who posts the answer. So...I clicked on Pinks link and saw that she has answered 1900 qestions with a, thoroughly deserved, 4.5* rating. My question is: Have only 2268 questions been asked since the inception of GA, and has Pink answered 83% of these questions? [In advance I have to say that if this is true she deserves special treatment....could she, for example, charge a minimum fee :-)] Boxclever |

Dear Boxclever, While Google Answers Researchers have no access to site statistics (you can try to access those by addressing the Google Answers editors, at: answers-editors@google.com), I am certain that the answer to both questions is no. Google Answers began to operate back in April 2002 (Here is the historical - probably first - question: <http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=2>). Since then, much more than 2700 questions have been asked and answered, and I suspect that the 2700 number on the main page has something to do with Google Answers' interface. Pinkfreud is one of my most talented and active collegues, but hasn't answered 83% of the questions asked on this site. The GAR (Google Answers Research), who has answered the most questions is Bobbie7-ga. Bobbie has answered 2443 questions so far. After Pinkfreud, Juggler-ga has answered 1859 since joining GA. Other prominent GARs (in terms of number of questions answered) are Tutuzdad (1327 questions); Scriptor (1221); Easterangel (1120); Justaskacott and Pafalafa (1062 each); and moi. I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need more clarification on this answer, before you rate it. |

Ok....understood...only the current month's quesions listed in the "view all" section. Interesting to note that GA started back in 2002 too; I honestly believed it was more recent than that. Anyhow, you're all worth five stars; not simply for the answers/information you supply but also the way the information is presented in a clear and concise written English that Anglophones and foreigners alike can understand. |

Try this search term. It seems to suggest that that there has been at least 113198 questions. http://answers.google.com/answers/search?q="asked+by"&qtype=all The 2268 questions you found are only the current questions. They expire after 1 month. answerfinder-ga |

I'd like to add that Pinkfreud's rating is 4.90 and not 4.5! If you click the following link, using Internet Explorer, hover you mouse over the stars graphic without clicking. The rating will appear in a small pop up box. http://answers.google.com/answers/ratings?user=8557989531679117785 If you are using Mozilla, right click the stars graphic, then select Properties. This will tell you the researcher's actual rating. Regards, Crabcakes-ga |

Regarding the fact that I have answered a disproportionate share of "name of that film I saw when I was younger" questions, I'd like to claim that I have an encyclopedic knowledge of cinema, but I think what's really going on here is that almost everybody is younger than I am, so I have the advantage of having seen many of these films as an adult. ;-) |
