I am looking for the US or North America market size for personal
finance software (primarily Microsoft Money and Intuit's Quicken).
Active users is best answer but units sold would also be helpful. Also
need historical trend if possible.

My question is similar to this one, except interested in US or North
America market:

<I've been researching your question for a number of hours and have
found that the users of PFM software users peaked in 2000. This has
been confirmed by more than one source. I also have sales of Quicken
declining in 2001 and 2002.

I have found the total number of active users for Quicken and their
market share in 2006. However this appears to be a global figure. Also
historical figures for quicken.

I've turned up lots of figures for the American market for the tax
software sector including dollar figures, units sold and its share of
the finance software market.

I have also found two 2004 surveys based on 2003 data that give the
percentage of finance software users.

Also demographic information for users of PFM.

Is any of this information of interest to you?>
