I need a good overview of suburban pigeon abatement methods and the
legal issues surrounding them, specific to California. My neighbor's
house was built with many crannies in the eaves where they live. To
what extent are they liable, and how is that enforcable?

County or municipal regulations may also be pertinent. Please tell us
what county and municipality in California this is.

I did some contracting work in South Africa for the coca cola holding
company there. Anyway the have huge warehouses as you can imagine to
store all the coke for shipment. They these large electronic boxes
attached to the ceiling which clicked periodically and (I'm guessing
here) sent out some sort of electromagnetic wave or something.

At any rate there was not a bird to be seen. Defintely worked. Can't
tell you what the box was called or anything as it was about 15
meters up.

the box was definitely industrial spec, large, strong, not pretty.

Hope this helps a little.

I am the original poster (can't access the original account yet; am
working on this and should get it resolved this week). In response to
the first comment; this is Los Angeles County. I don't want to get any
more specific than that, but it's easy for me to check my local city
ordinances to see if things differ there.
