According to FRCP 8(b) are you allowed to answer an unverified

Are you looking solely for what the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
say on these issues? Or do you also need case law interpreting the
FRCP?

I am looking for the interpitation of this Federal Rule. I checked the
local rules for the District Court that this case is filed with and
there was nothing about answers either way. I have heard that the only
time a detailed answer is required is if the complaint is verified
(this complaint is not) I have read alot of contradictory info about
FRCP rule 8(b) people saying that this rule requires a detailed
averment by averment answer; I have also heard that you may simply
file a "general denial" (both forms of answers though should have
Affirmative Defenses. So which is correct? With the local rules quiet
on the subject and only the FRCP rules to guide me what is plain
language is this rule saying?
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

I was asking the wrong question, this is the question I should have asked.
