Question ID: 778024
What are people doing lately to control mosqitoes in the home
environment that perhaps not everyone is aware of or using regularly,
e.g something already in the marketplace that really works well but
may not be widely known, or perhaps there is a sure-fire way that is
now well -known but has just slipped through my notice. Has someone
got their own remedy for keeping mosquitoes away that has remained a
family secret perhaps?? Is their any indoor plants one could place at
strategic points that mosquitoes wont go near??
Do those high-pitched sounds that eminate from an electronic device
constantly but cant be heard by the human ear really work?? Any good
ideas please.

By the way having just got back into GA (a first question a cupla days
back) I would like to say it was good to see question/answer
interaction with old aquaintants who were most helpful in years gone
by, e.g The Pink One, Bryan, Steph etc. I did actually leave a
little thankyou note on that question which you probably did not see.

Mosquitos are a truly local problem-- within 50 meters or so.
Eliminate all breeding locations and your problem will go away. Any
amount of water greater than about a teaspoon will allow mosquitos to
breed!

John, welcome back.

Maybe the "mosquito magnet" mentioned in this question is of interest.
Don't know if anyone in Oz sells it.

Hi John....

Sorry I can't help.... I always keep screens on my windows and doors,
but, should one of those pesky critters get in anyway, my "attack cat"
Albert, makes a quick snack of it:-)
