Dear Michael51147,

First of all, before I begin answering your question, based on my
extensive research, let me quote Google Answer's general disclaimer
(also on the bottom of this page), that "Answers and comments provided
on Google Answers are general information, and are not intended to
substitute for informed professional medical, psychiatric,
psychological, tax, legal, investment, accounting, or other
professional advice."

Emails advertising medications
------------------------------
It is legal to send you an email advertising medication, if you asked
that this advertising will be sent to you. If you haven't asked for
these emails to be sent to you, they are unsolicited emails and this
is illegal in some places, and in any case, unethical at best.

Spam is a major problem in modern Internet culture and business. Your
email provider keeps a certain amount of space for you (and for its
many other users). Instead of getting mail that is of interest to you
- from friends, colleagues or family - you get loads of ads that block
your mailbox. Think about a "real" mailbox, and about the postman not
being able to enter the really important letters in, because it is all
blocked with pizza flyers. This is time-wasting, dirty (you are
"lucky" to receive pharmacies advertisements. Some people get
pornographic material that they didn't ask to receive, and that
includes some "hard porn"!).

Is it legal to buy and sell medication online?
---------------------------------------------
It depends where you live, and where the pharmacy is located. It is
legal in some places. In the United States it is legal, as long as you
have a prescription (for medications that require one), or that it is
an "over the counter" medicine.

Here you could read an answer of mine on buying drugs online and
saving money throughout:

Is it wise to buy it from "Health Products"?
-------------------------------------------
Buying from a pharmacy, or from that matter, from any Internet site,
that uses "spam" methods to advertise is immoral. It encourages the
blocking of servers with unsolicited, unwanted, mail.

In particular, Health Products was notorious in harassing potential
costumers (who did not even ask to get this ad) through email (See
discussions about it in Google Groups
<http://groups.google.com/groups?num=50&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=http%3A%2F%2Fhealth-products2003.com%2F&sa=N&tab=wg>).

In addition, in some cases, it is a scam (although, of course, I
cannot attest to this site specifically). After all, the pharmacy in
question and many like it use illicit methods to get to you, what
prevents them from scamming you as well?

This article at the Wired site, "Swollen Orders Show Spam's Allure"
(By Brian McWilliams)
<http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,59907,00.html>, demonstrate
that many fall for what is essentially a scam. Particularly regarding
penis enlargement pills, I answered in:

If you'll search the Internet for "RX", you'll find plenty of online
pharmacies <://www.google.com/search?num=50&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=rx>

I hope this answered your question. Please contact me if you need any
clarifications on this answer before you tip/rate it.
