Dear Cripes,

It depends in which jurisdiction you live, and what you mean by
"drugs". If you mean illegal substances (e.g., Cocaine, LSD), then the
answer is that it is, indeed, illegal. If caught after you order it,
you might be charged with possession of illegal substances, with
mail-related violations, with importing illegal substances, etc.

See, for example:
Totse, "Drug Use and The Internet",
<http://www.totse.com/en/drugs/legal_issues_of_drug_use/163624.html>

If you meant drugs, as in "medicines", it still depends where you live
(which jurisdiction). Receiving drugs through mail order is basically
legal, for example, in the United States. However, in the United
Kingdom, it is limited regarding prescribed medicines.

Many Americans buy prescription and non-prescription medicines in
Canadian online pharmacies. This is a bit more trickey, and the United
States Senate would like to limit this option of "importing" drugs
through the Internet. Buying them, however, is still legal in most US
States, and in any case legal to buy them (provided they are off the
counter, or that you have perscription for them) through an American
online pharmacy.

If the drugs are legal, what's the problem?

If the drugs are illegal, ye shall be drawn and quartered.
