Hi,

I have come to be interested in a complete list of hospitals, all around the world.
I wonder if such a list can be obtained, and at what price?
Keep in mind I can add a tip above the 200$ base payment.
If anyone is interested in such a search name your price and I might pay it :-)

List should contain phone number and site/email if such exists.

All my best,
Lee

leefr-ga,

I doubt that a single list of global hospitals exists. And even if it
does, it would be so large as to require specialized data-handling
computers and software to manage it.

However, there are lists that include major hospitals from around the
world. For instance, I've copied, below, an excerpt from one list of
toxicity centers (many hospital based, but some in government offices)
for Argentina -- similar lists are available for most other countries.

Is this sort of list useful for your needs? Let me know what you think.

Clarification of Question by leefr-ga on 08 Jun 2006 04:42 PDT
Hi Pfalfa,

While this list seems very comprehensive, Im not sure it is what I am looking for.
I will need to be a bit silly and ask for the difference between a
toxicology center and a hospital. Behind my question lies a search
after most of the main X-Ray using businesses in the world. I have
found a list of NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Main businesses here in
G-answers, and so I move on to hospitals.
I would actually like to learn about smaller clinics using x-ray too,
but this will be a new question, although I think they are adresing
archive services for their stored X-Ray films.

Oh, Pfalfa, dont forget your price :-)

Thanks,
Lee

Do toxicology centers meet this criteria?

I just posted a nice, rewarding, search for X-Ray Film storage providers.
Grab it while its free...

Also, please hurry up with a price demand for my current question, it takes too long

leefr-ga,

The closest I can come is this commercial database that is available:

http://www.hospitalmanagement.net/ihf/publication_5.html
...The International Hospital Federation has a database of over 40,000
hospitals and their addresses worldwide.

The database is available for sale, and the IHF charges approximately
15 cents per listing. That is, to get a mailing list of 1,000
hospitals would cost about $150...10,000 would cost about $1,500.

Of course, they may be willing to provide a bulk discount for very
large orders. But still, I didn't know if this sort of directory was
within your budget, so I did not post this information as a formal
answer.

Let me know what you think.

Lee,

I also want to let you know that I did come across a list of about
6,000 hospitals in the US. A typical listing looks like this:

Alaska Regional Hospital
2801 Debarr Road
Anchorage, AK 99508-2997
Phone: (907) 276-1754
Number of beds: 194

A link to the hospital's website is also provided, when available.

Let me know if this is of interest to you, and if it is, what you
think an appropriate price would be.

Thanks,

pafalafa-ga

Hi Pafalafa,

Your new information is of some dissappointment to me.
15c per entry is a very overpriced rate for such information.
On the other hand I am surprised to find out that there are so many
hospitals in the states alone.
I am willing to pay up to somewhere around 250$, but for that I am
looking for much more then the states alone and much more then
25,000/15c...
If you have other results let me know.

Dear Pafalafa,

I was able to recieve US hospitals list (6000 entries) for 39$.
Now the rest of the world is remaining.

All the best,
Lee

If I may be so frank, what is our incentive?

$2.50 does not buy very much motivation. I've put a fair amount of
work into this already, but don't see any way to be compensated for
it.

I'm not trying to scavenge a fee from you. But I just wanted to let
you know that, from a researcher's perspective, this is not a
particuarly inviting research opportunity.

I am surprised.

First of all let me appologise if you were hurt.
I have to say I appreciate your work very much, hence I am here.
This question is not for the information itself. 2.5$ wont cover more
then 10 minutes of anyone's time...
This Q is for the -PRICE- of the information I request.
I was hoping to find someone that will come and tell me I can give you
your information and it will cost you 150$, 200$, 350$. Something.

Dear Pafalafa, you have not claimed to be able to retrieve this
information nor did you state your price.

Again all appologies for this misunderstanding...

Lee

I most certainly did state the price:

"The database is available for sale, and the IHF charges approximately
15 cents per listing. That is, to get a mailing list of 1,000
hospitals would cost about $150...10,000 would cost about $1,500..."

Am I misunderstanding what you're looking for...?

P.S. No hurt feelings...I just wanted to let you know why I think no
one is working on your question

Clarification of Question by leefr-ga on 13 Jun 2006 16:54 PDT
Paf,

I did notice your reference to the above DB.
I just didnt see YOUR price in that part.
Anyway back to them toxicity centers. You said they are mostly
positioned within hospitals.
If so, how much will you want for such lists, or ref to them (if they
are too big) for the following regions:
UK, Scotland and Ireland.
Australia.
South Africa.
Canada.
any other native english speaker?

and how much for China? (with hopes I can somehow communicate with them)

Yours,
Lee

Leefr, this is not how things work on Google Answers. You have to
name the highest price you are willing to pay, and then the
researchers will have an incentive to do the research for you.
