I want to get correct, current information on the Insignia of Rank
worn by the personnel of the armed forces of the nation of San Marino.
I want to know what their Insignia of Rank looks like.
Some useful clarifications:
(1) San Marino is a small nation of 38 square miles, landlocked and
entirely within the nation of Italy.
(2) To see what Insignia of Rank is (for those who may not be sure),
please go to the Rank Insignia of the World website at

I've already searched in many places for this information without
success, so I'm hoping that someone will have better luck than I.
I've gotten this kind of information on Insignia of Rank before from
many other countries, so I KNOW that San Marino's military Insignia of
Rank must be obtainable too. (None of this information is
confidential, some are just harder to get than others.)
Among the San Marino armed forces are the Fortress Guards (Guardia di
Rocca); the Uniformed Militia (La Milizia); and the Gendarmerie (Corpo
di Gendarmia).
I would be very grateful to anyone who can help me get this
information. (The first person to get this information to me will be
the one who earns the fee!!)

Hi Kitemaker-ga:

I've just e-mailed San Marino's Gendarme, which is under the country's
Dept. Of Defense & Emergency.

I figure if they can't tell us the current, correct insignia -- no one can!

I'll let you know when I hear back from them. In the meantime, one of
my colleagues may just find the correct answer.
