Yes, it's time I tried my hand at this ...

I've no experience and absolutely no aptitude but ...

I am quite sure that someone from the GA-laxy will be able to assist
me in this noble endeavour.

Hi, Everyone & Many Thanks

Hi, Cryptica, I live in England & I've heard of the tv show but have never seen it.

Today, I am going shopping for an aerail (Am: Antenna) to wear on my
head. I'm told that this will help.

And, obviously, I do need an assistant to do the necessary.

Any suggestions?

Bryan

The government spend like 2million dollars discrediting this but...

if you want to make money off it I suggest you read cold reading books,
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/102-4362372-0471347

Otherwise you won't really get any "better".

Begin your training here
http://www.skeptic.com/

also
www.weeklyuniverse.com/2002/phonepsychic.htm

Studying the reports from people who debunk psychics will show you how
Psychics work and would be valuable training.

It looks like a pretty good way to make money.

Here is a good explanation of how John Edwards works.
http://www.skeptic.com/newsworthy13.html
Like reality shows, it's all in the editing.

He is 99% accurate on his shows but reports from the taping say he is
only right about 10-20 percent of the time.

If you don't already know the answer to your question, you're not
qualified for the job.

Hi, Bryan--

I once interviewed a debunker for a magazine article. He said, "If
you want to become a burglar, you study how burglars work. If you
want to become a psychic and do cold readings, there are books that
will teach you how." This particular debunker takes the approach of
first winning over his audience by doing what "psychics" do, until
they believe in him, and then explaining that it is all a learned
skill without any special powers behind it at all.

Oddly, some people refuse to believe him when he says this.

He has also exposed fraudulent "psychics" by revealing the tricks and
ruses they use to con their audiences.

Probonopub--
I'm not sure where you live -- is it England?
Can you get the series "Penn & Teller: Bullshit!" over there?

It's a series where they debunk all kinds of things and they have one
entire episode
on psychics and essentially show you how to be one by exposing all the
tricks of the trade.
They really nail John Edwards, for example. (Not the VP candidate).

You're going to need an accomplice . . . to greet your potential
customers...I mean,
clients. . . You assistant chit chats with the client in the
waiting room, asking
innocuous questions and gleaning all sorts of info that he/she feeds you quickly,
allowing you "spontaneously" come up with amazing insights during your sessions.

Hi
You could go to your local spiritualist church and join a development
group there, I feel you would find this helpfull to your psychic
development.
