I was very taken by a recent Comment by Pink:

QUOTE

I can imagine Zeus arriving on earth and announcing "Take me to your Leda."

UNQUOTE

There are many others but where are they?

So, let's make a Collection by placing your favourite(s), here.

Many thanks.

Aha!

A visitation from the Good Lady herself.

Madam, we are honoured.

Had we known, we would have laid down a Red Carpet ...

Well, OK then, it would have been a very muted sort of Red ...

More like Pink, actually.

Clarification of Question by probonopublico-ga on 19 Apr 2004 23:15 PDT
I have been advised that the Good Lady might actually be invisible on
a Red Carpet, particularly if she's wearing her ruby slippers.

Just imagine how embarrassing it would have been if she had stepped
out of the limo and had disappeared.

Is this THE LOT?

Surely NOT!

What else have you got

To increase the pot?

Don't worry, Bryan; as soon as I open my eyes, I'll be visible again.

Unless I've been hitting the bottle. ;-D

Whew, Pink, Thanks!

I've stopped worrying ...

Until I think of something else to worry about ...

I wonder how might it be possible to jack this Question up on everybody's lists?

Surely, we are seriously overdue for some new gems?

Many thanks!

Dear PB ,

A difficult task indeed - more than 6028 posts - and all of them are
basically gems of some kind.

Where would we keep it? ;-)

Since you've chosen the category "Business and Money > Accounting,"
I presume that this question is asking us to account for ourselves.

However, I've often heard it said that "there's no accounting for
women," so I'll leave this unanswered.

It is probably not widely known that the Pink One was recently sounded
out about her willingness to run for the Nigerian presidency.

As you would expect, she handled this tricky question with the skill
that we have to come to expect from the best politicians:

QUOTE:

If nominated, I will not run.
If elected, I will not serve.
If served, I will not eat.
If eaten, I will not digest.
If digested, I will not nourish.

UNQUOTE

There was a supplementary ...

'Does it also mean that if you smoke, you won't inhale?'

Since I only smoke if I am set on fire, this is a hypothetical
question. Unfortunately, I don't have a hypothet, so I'll won't be
able to proceed. I have a similar problem when confronted with
pornography. Where do folks get the pornographs on which to play this
stuff, anyway?

Pink's advice on Mooney airyplanes (#327009)...

QUOTE:

Don't covet those planes, folks.

Remember: "The love of Mooney is the root of all evil."

UNQUOTE

I sincerely hope that the person concerned has followed these words of
wisdom but, alas, nothing has been heard from him since he set off on
his attempt to break the solo flight record from from Mukilteo WA to
Baghdad. It is understood that he was sponsored by the CIA and that he
was transporting several kegs of Moonshine Liquor as a peace offering.

by this Tribute Question that her face has turned red.

And, should that be the case, how can folks tell where her hair stops

I like Pink's answer to my question about whether Researchers and
Commenters ever fall in love and if so, since it's forbidden to
exchange personal info here, how do they manage to get together?

PINK: "I'm sure it could all be worked out, if the motivation were there.

My dear Bryan, you should know by now that I am a redneck. If the face
matches the neck and the hair, I shall have a well-coordinated outfit.
Give me a pair of ruby slippers, and I'll be reddy for anything. :-)

Here's another from # 332258, in response to the Question 'where ru going?'

I'm going on down to Yasgur's farm
I'm going to join in a rock 'n' roll band
I'm going to camp out on the land
I'm going to try an' get my soul free...

Or, then again, maybe I will just go on down to the local fish market,
to try an' get my sole free.

Back to your brilliant best!

It's amazing just how quickly this stuff leaves my memory ...

Bryan,

"A friendlier name?"

Well, I don't know if my name is all that friendly. Although I'm
thinking of legally appending a -ga to the end of it. But, you may
call me whichever name you find the friendliest.

Hi, Harry (Bowler)

I've always called you Harry in my own mind because I used to know a
chap called Harry Bowler.

He was a delightful soul who always wore a bow tie which even among us
English is rather unusual.

Of course, if you are a She rather than a He, then it could be Harriet.

Many thanks for the further Pinkisms.

Warmest regards

Bryan

Bryan,

I think it's been established that I'm a he (at least my wife thinks
so). I've been waiting to reveal my name for when I become an
"official" researcher. But that doesn't seem to be happening any time
soon so maybe I'll hint at it in a future comment/question. You're
only hint now is that it is not Harry.

Hello Pinkophiles

Here are two more:

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=333514

I have never met a woman, beautiful or otherwise, who was truly
random. Most of us have some sort of a pattern. Otherwise our
component parts won't stick together.

Picasso admired the chaotic;
The lines of his art are psychotic.
His wackier moods
Produced angular nudes
Which geometry fans find erotic.

I wonder who can find the most Pinkerisms on the same question.
